Hedgehog & My Brain on Fire!

Do you second guess yourself? Everyone does someway or another. Am I make the right decision(s)? Am I being a good parent? Did I handle that situation at work right? 

Is starting this blog the right thing??????

Said me, always.  I know why I want to blog, but I am horrible at follow through unless you've got my feet to the fire.  Basically setting myself up for failure without every really doing anything.  I figured if I put my intro blog out there that would put me on point.

Obviously not. Here we are months later and this is my 2nd post. Blah!

The other nightmare is what if you don't care about what I write about?  Well, duh, Jen. 

So upon further reflection here we go:

• I am not going to worry about what EVERYONE thinks of my blog. Not everything fits everyone.
• I know I am not going to be consistent of doing a post every day. I have a regular job. A hubby. 2 kids. CRAP TO DO! So we will take it one step at a time. 
• STOP over-thinking it! It is a blog, not a dog. 

Ok, I feel better.  Do you feel better? You will.

I'm Here!! {Finally}

It's my first!!!

No, not a kid.  Got 2 of those, don't want more.

No, not a wedding. Had that, Vegas style, baby!   

My first blog post (I will refrain from sailor language until a later time)!  

This is monumental, folks.  I put myself out there to my framily (thank you, Sprint) in January of this year that I wanted to start a blog. 9 months later, here we are. And just like pregnancy, you know something is going to come out of it, but are in denial on all that needs to be done to take care of it. Well, my kids are still alive after 17 & 15 years later, so maybe I will be able to say the same about this blog.

My name is Jennifer, but many call me Jen, a nickname I acquired in college. I am a wife (24 years together, 11 married). A mother (you gathered that from pregnancy comment). I work full time as a fabulous customer service rep for a small company (we will talk more about customer service another day). A part-time anything creative (oh, boy!). Which is part of the reason for me starting a blog. Oh, sure, there are plenty of blogs out there that post about all the things I love, design (interior, architecture, furniture), fashion (shoes, people, shoes), party planning (it's going to need to be pretty), and the list continues. I will cover more of my passions as we move along. But sometimes I feel like the blog world is missing something. Maybe I can fill that void.

Let me say right off, this is not an ode to Pinterest.  We will not be doing ALL sorts of Pinterest projects only to fail at them. I will leave that pinterestfail.com and epicpinterestfail.com . Now, don't get me wrong, I ADORE Pinterest. I have waited for years for something like this and even had my own boards in my computer long before Pinterest was a site. Pinterest is my go to for inspiration, ideas, diy, you name it. I find other blogs there, discover fascinating articles, and, well, you get it.  And if you don't Pin, well, I can teach you as we go along. 

So what is this blog?  It's my brain (that may be a scary thing). Ideas that flow in/out. Actual projects. Passions and pet peeves. This blog will be me, fabulous & sparkly, with a little OCD and ADD thrown in for extra measure.
